Cox Green School is a co-educational secondary school with academy status in Berkshire, England. ==History== Cox Green School was founded in 1967, and in 1973 was part of a reorganisation of education in Maidenhead. The two single sex grammar schools, Desborough (boys) and Newlands (girls), Furze Platt School to the north of the town, Altwood C of E School and Cox Green School all became 11-18 comprehensives. Together with Holyport Manor Special School (now relocated and renamed to Manor Green School) they now form the Maidenhead Federation. This means they work collaboratively and share resources to improve the education available in the town. This includes a shared sixth form option block. Sixth Form representatives, represent the student body with the role of Head Boy and Girl incorporated. Other sixth form representatives include house captains of the schools three houses, Astor, Brunel, and Spencer.The house colours are blue, red and yellow. Previously the school houses were known as Windsor, Stuart and Tudor. The school became an academy on 1 December 2012.
